Troop 11's Annual Christmas Tree Pick-up

Planning has begun for Troop 11's annual Christmas Tree Pick-up. On January 5, 2008, Scouts will span out over the island and collect Christmas Trees for recycling. Supplementing the efforts of Alameda County Industries, trees recycled through Troop 11 are returned to Alameda as mulch for the Alameda Point Collaborative.

Started over 30 years ago as an Eagle project, by Hal Zecher, the Annual Christmas Tree pick up has become an Alameda tradition.

Instructions Attach the tag to your tree. Leave tree at street curb by 8:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 Please no flocked trees. Please remove tree stands. Please remove all decorations. We are able to pick up trees in the City of Alameda only.
